AAWIC & Music Brings Life Presents: STUDENTS ARE HEROES
The narrative follows Jordana Bristol, a high school athlete who suddenly collapses during track practice and is rushed to the hospital. Diagnosed with a sickle cell crisis, Jordana's life takes a critical turn when complications arise from antibodies she developed through previous blood transfusions, making it difficult to find compatible blood. This screening is presented in collaboration with Music Brings Life, whose mission is to increase public awareness about the need for genetically matched (genotypical) blood available for people with pre-existing conditions.
8 - 9:30p MST Film Screening
A WU-TANG EXPERIENCE: LIVE AT RED ROCK AMPHITHEATER
This film documents the extraordinary concert at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater where The Wu-Tang Clan, backed by the 60-piece Colorado Symphony Orchestra, weaves together songs from their vast discography of the group and solo albums to create a live score to a real-time screening of the seminal martial arts film "The 36th Chamber of Shaolin" - the movie that largely inspired the Clan's aesthetic and the title of their groundbreaking debut album "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)."
“I was blown away by AAWIC in UTAH. The dedication to empowering women in the industry is truly inspiring.”
